I grew up in Cebu, Philippines. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and received my RN in 1994. I worked in Med Surg and the ER while in the Philippines until an opportunity came for me to move to the United States in 2000. I started working in long-term care based on my time as a charge nurse in the Philippines. I also worked in the Vent [ventilator] Unit for a short stint but I felt that long-term care was my passion niche. I decided to start as an MDS/Unit Manager job in 2002 and became the Assistant Director Of Nursing in 2003; however, I started my career with MediLodge as a Director of Nursing in 2013 at a sister facility, Medilodge of Holland.
My husband, Terry and I met here in the United States and we have been married for 17 years. He decided to accept a job as a lead pastor in Kalkaska County, which ultimately led my family to move north after having lived in the Zeeland/Holland area for 14 years. Since then, I have been with MediLodge Group for almost 5 years, and I requested a transfer to working at MediLodge of Leelanau. We have 5 children including four boys and one girl between the ages of eighteen months and sixteen years old. We are very busy with Cross Country or Track and Field or Soccer and Gymnastics as well as Boys’ Scouts.
