Everyone here at MediLodge of Leelanau was so friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! I was very content with my stay here.

If you are looking for a place that offers reliability, comfort, security, and wonderful service for you or a loved one, this would be the number 1 choice in the Traverse City area. I received quality care, quality food in a beautiful environment. This place meant all my needs from medical care, to emotional and social in just the short time I was here for rehab. When I am no longer to stay at home, I know where I will spend my day when I need 24 hour assistance. The opportunity to interact with staff and residents was a great experience. The Activities Department provided an array of activities that really helps the residents get up and going and gets them involved with their environment. This helped me in my rehab process to feel included and feel needed. The therapy department were my biggest cheerleaders with the upmost professionalism. Watching the different ways that they engaged residents and keep them moving and helping them reach their goals was unbelievable. I was able to accomplish my goals set forth by my therapy team to be able to finally go home.

"I would like to thank the staff at Leelanau Health Center for the excellent care given to my mother, Gail Smith, this past summer. She was at Leelanau Health Center from July through September 2007. Mom needed skilled nursing care, which Leelanau Health Center in Suttons Bay, MI was able to supply. What impressed me, was not just the medical care and therapy, which were first rate. The gentle kindness, and willingness to be accommodating to my mother and family members during a very stressful time, was outstanding and appreciated. An example of this was the Social Worker taking a personal interest in making sure Mom was able to listen to the Harry Potter book on tape she was given. The nurses and aides were kind and professional. Mom was unable to move on her own, but the nurses and aides were patient and always willing to take the time to meet mom's needs. Similarly, the therapists were kind and encouraging coaches who refused to take "I can't" for an answer. Overall, it was the little things that made the stay successful for Mom. We are grateful that Mom had the opportunity to be in such a supporting atmosphere while she began her healing process."

I have never been to a skilled nursing center before and didn’t know they were this nice and well run. I had reservations when I first got here, but upon entering the building I was greeted at the door and the customer services was exceptional all throughout my stay. The food was great (I thought nursing home food would be terrible), the housekeeping department kept up the building so well and my room so clean. I was always offered something to do multiple times a days, and I really enjoyed the music in the dining room while we had lunch. The nursing staff was so prompt and was at my bedside every time I called. I will definitely come back here in the future if I need any therapy or long term care. This place was so well ran and would recommend to anyone.

I knew that I couldn’t go home from the hospital after my injury, so I ended up choosing MediLodge of Leelanau. While I hope I never have to be in a nursing home again, if I had to do it all over, I would say MediLodge of Leelanau was the best spot for me. It was quite the experience and everything went great. They were able to get me back on my feet quickly so that I could get back home.

My stay at MediLodge of Leelanau was very enjoyable. The staff are absolutely incredible. The therapy team is top notch and the food is very good. I also enjoyed Bengal, the facility cat. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone needing skilled nursing care.

It was a significant operation which included 4 surgeries in a 1 week period which resulted in a below the knee amputation. I was transferred to Medilodge of Leelanau based on local advice. The admission team was very through, educational and sensitive to my mental condition and developing needs. They explained all the amenities of the facility and the activities to expect during my rehabilitation. Staff from each discipline was very through and very interested in my case to better support me and my recovery and adapted to my personal needs on a 24 hour basis. Pain management was optimized daily, and I became pain free and sleeping through the night very quickly. During my occupational and physical therapy I was able to maintain a flexible scheduled so that I could manage personal work related activities. After a 2 week period from admission I will be discharged with confidence and the skill-sets to be self-sufficient and have maximum mobility. I felt totally comfortable with leaving personal possessions in my room based on my relationships I established initially. I would highly recommend Medilodge of Leelanau to anyone needing skilled nursing care.
