Dear Guest, Families, and Friends of Medilodge of Leelanau,
My name is Erich Tanis and I would like to introduce myself as the new administrator for the Medilodge of Leelanau Skilled Nursing Center. I will be starting my position with the Center on October 1st, 2019. It is my honor and privilege to serve the residents, guests and employees of our beautiful Leelanau Center. It is the mission of Medilodge Centers to create “a haven for healing, fostering recovery, rejuvenation, and revitalization.” It is our team’s goal to provide our residents with the best possible care that serves individual wellness focused on mind, body, and spirit. If we ever fall short of your expectations for your care or the care of your loved one please contact us immediately. Your input helps us focus on making a stay at our center the best it can be.
A little about myself. I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I attended Aquinas College and received a Bachelor’s of Science in business administration. I have worked in long term care for 5 years, primarily in the role of human resources and have also had the opportunity to learn and serve as the assistant administrator with Medilodge. I have been married to my wonderful wife, Jeanie for six years and we have a 3-year-old daughter named Iylah and a 3-month-old son named Maverich along with 2 misbehaved dogs named Winnie (shiatzu) and Taylor (beagle). My family and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to move to this beautiful area in northern Michigan.
Again it is my honor and privilege to serve those that need our care and assistance. It is my personal goal to make this the best possible place to live and work and ensure that our residents and employees are at the center of what we do every day and their well-being is our top priority. I look forward to being part of this community and am eager to meet all of you. Please feel free to stop by my office and introduce yourself.
